Tesla recalls a few units of its aftermarket chargers, after two reports on device overheating.
The connectors being recalled are not among the three mobile charging adapters that come standard with the car. Tesla currently sells the NEMA 14-30, 6-50, and 10-30 as OEM accessories.
The NEMA 14-30 adapters are the one that has been overheating, but Tesla is recalling the 6-50 and 10-30 because they share the similar design.
All three adapters are compatible to use with unconventional outlets such as a power outlet.
The company announced that only a very few customers use these connectors. Tesla also confirmed that no injury or property damage was reported due to charger overheating.
Tesla has recalled cars and components before. The company had issued a recall on 2,700 Model X SUVs to rework the third-row seats.
