2016 Rainforest Challenge Malaysia: Team India Finishes 11th Overall
Team India, represented by Gurmeet Virdi and Kirpal Singh Tung finished 11th in the 2016 RFC that took place in Malaysia.
After 10 days and 24 special stages, team India has managed to finish 11th in the 2016 Rainforest Challenge (RFC) that took place in Malaysia.
Team India, comprising Gurmeet Virdi and Kirpal Singh Tung took place in the off-road event, after winning the 2016 RFC that was held in India earlier this year.
Team India accumulated 1,361 points. The winning team, represented by Chang Chiew Shen and Edward Benggon finished first with 2,203 points.
The second place was taken by Kulbak Roman and Pavel Kovalenko from Russia, who trail the leaders by only one point, while the team that finished third, comprising Lyubarenko Valeriy and Katkov Andrei from Russia scored 2,168 points.
Team India finished first in the under 3,050cc diesel category. This is the first time an Indian team has won the particular category in RFC Malaysia. The second place in this particular category was won by team Vietnam, who trail the Indian team by over 100 points.
