The new facelifted Xenon is expected to be renamed as Xenon Yodha. The launch event would be held in Mumbai and the new brand ambassador of Tata Motors Commercial Vehicle division, Akshay Kumar will attend the event.
A few spy shots of the facelifted Xenon has already surfaced on the internet and have given us a sneak peek of the updates.
The new Xenon Yodha sports a redesigned front bumper, new front grille with chrome detailing and the rear section of the utility vehicle gets an updated tail lamp cluster.
Coming to the interior of the Xenon facelift, it is expected that the changes are kept minimal. The only change would be an updated infotainment system.
The new Xenon Yodha is expected to be powered by the new 2.2-litre Varicor 400 diesel engine. The diesel motor churns out 154bhp and 400Nm of peak torque. The same engine is employed on the Safari Storme and yet to be launched Hexa.
The engine will be coupled to a new six-speed manual transmission, whereas the four-wheel-drive would be offered as an option. The facelifted Xenon may cost Rs 20,000 to Rs 30,000 more compared to its previous model which is priced at Rs 9.96 lakh ex-showroom.
