Tata Motors Hikes The Price Of Its Tiago Hatchback Across The Range

The Tiago hatchback is the most popular product on offer from Tata Motors at this moment. Initially, when launched the Tiago had a base price tag of Rs. 3.20 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi). Now, Tata Motors has decided to hike the pricing of its popular hatchback.

A minimum price hike worth Rs. 6,000 will be witnessed on the purchase of Tata Tiago. The maximum price hike on Tata Tiago will be worth Rs. 8,000. Both petrol and diesel engine options in the Tiago will be affected by the price hike from Tata Motors.

Under the hood of the Tata Tiago is an optional 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.05-litre diesel engine. Currently, both engines are paired to 5-speed manual transmissions. An optional Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) will be offered on Tiago ahead of the festive season.

So far, Tata Motors has received over 40,000 bookings for the Tiago hatchback. The majority of the booking received are for the petrol-based variants. The waiting period for Tata Tiago has also increased considerably since launch. Demand is expected to increase with the introduction of the AMT option.
