Tata Tiago was launched back in April 2016, which used the impact design language for the first time. The customer response for the hatchback has been a healthy affair for Tata Motors in India.
Tata Tiago posted its best ever sales figures in the month of October crossing over 6,000 units. This is the best ever sales for any Tata car in three years.
In the month of October, Tata Motors sold 6,108 units of Tiago. With the success of Tiago, Tata Motors clocked 16,311 units and posted a growth of 28 percent in the Indian market.
The hot hatch from Tata Motors has received over 50,000 booking in a short period of time, out of which around 25,000 cars have been delivered to customers.
Reports suggest that Tata Motors is boosting its production process at the Gujarat plant in order to reduce the waiting period of the Tiago. Currently, a customer has to wait up to three to four months to get the Tiago delivered.
The Tiago is available in both petrol and diesel variants. The petrol version comes with 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine which produces 83.8bhp of power. Whereas the diesel variant is powered by 1.05-litre three cylinder engine which churns out 69bhp of power.
Both the variants are available with five-speed manual transmission. The Tiago is priced in the range of Rs 3.20 lakh to Rs 5.67 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
