Tata Motors Recalls One Lakh JLR Vehicles With Faulty Airbags
Tata Motors will be recalling approximately one lakh units with faulty airbags. Jaguar Land Rover models were fixed with the faulty equipment. Once again it is the Takata airbags in the British-based manufacturers vehicle that have caused a problem.
At this moment, only models from the United States of America are being recalled. Jaguar Land Rover will be fixing the faulty airbags free of cost. Customers will not have to bear any additional costs that will be incurred in the fixing of airbags.
Jaguar Land Rover U.S. operations will be contacting affected customers personally. So far, there is no confirmation as to when the replacing of faulty components will commence. A service plan will be created to successfully replace the faulty Takata airbags in over one lakh units.
Previously, Jaguar Land Rover recalled 36,415 units from the Chinese market. A recall was issued during April 2016 and the issue was with the spray-painted lids of the idle gears, which could fracture screw bolts.
