Tata Motors Enters Bolivia With A Range Of Commercial Vehicles

Tata Motors has forayed into the Bolivian commercial vehicle market and launched three vehicles — Tata Super Ace Petrol, Tata Xenon Petrol, and Tata LPT 613 truck. All three vehicles are available in Santa Cruz and will soon go on sale in La Paz and Cochabamba.

Speaking about petrol engines, the Tata Super Ace is powered by a 1.4-litre, four-cylinder engine that makes 84bhp. The 4X2 Tata Xenon pickup is sold with a 2.1-litre multi point fuel injection engine that makes 129bhp and 195Nm of peak torque. The Xenon pickup has a top speed of 145km/h.

The Tata LPT 613 truck comes with a turbocharged six-cylinder engine which has a payload capacity of 4.2 tons. The engine is mated to a 5-speed GBS 40 gearbox. The truck is sold in Bolivia with a 3,800-wheelbase in Euro-II configuration.

Speaking about the launch, Rudrarup Maitra, the Head of International Business, Commercial Vehicles, at Tata Motors said, "We are delighted to be here in Bolivia, one of the fastest growing markets in the Latin American region."
