The Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB) sealed showrooms that belonged to Maruti Suzuki and Tata Motors, along with other commercial establishments for operating illegally.
A total of 12 commercial establishments were sealed by the SCB, because none of the establishments had legal permission to operate in the premises of an 'Old Grant Bungalow' (OGB), at Balamrai in Secunderabad.
The commercial establishments that were sealed include Maruti Suzuki Motors, Tata Motors operating under the name Brindhavan Motors, Navata Road Transport, Professional Couriers, RKS Motors Servicing, SK Auto Gas Conversion, AK Fabricators, Sree Hari Batteries, Sri Venkateshwara Agencies, and Temptation Ice Creams.
When records were verified by SCB, none of the above mentioned establishments had obtained the necessary trade licence.
The above mentioned establishments had not gained permission from the Secunderabad Cantonment Board, nor the Defence Estates Office (DEO) to run their business.
