Chennai Based TAFE Launched New Tractors
Chennai-based tractor manufacturer Tractors and Farm Equipment (TAFE) has launched the new range of vehicles. The vehicles will have a power range from 40bhp-60bhp. This new range is for enhanced productivity and efficiency.
Chairman and CEO, Mallika Srinivasan: "The premium compact utility tractors is the first of its kind in India in the 28HP category offering versatile operation capabilities. With the SMART Series we will be redefining customer experience with respect to productivity, efficiency and ergonomics by setting up new standards in the industry."
She added: "With the launch of new premium compact utility tractor, I believe we are creating a new segment, given the needs of farmers and their changing expectations with regard to versatility and ease of use."
She also stated that the company plans to sell 1.50 lakh tractors against 1.40 lakh units sold last year. The company is one of the leading exporters when it comes to tractors with revenues of Rs 93 billion. The company also produces a range of tractors in the sub 100bhp and them comes in both water-cooled and oil-cooled platforms.
