Swaraj Engines Appoints New CEO
Swaraj Engines, the Indian automotive component manufacturer has appointed Subhash Mago as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective from October 1, 2016. The company also said that he will be the Key Managerial Personnel based on the terms of Companies Act, 2013.
Starting his career at ACC Vickers Babcock, Mago then went on to join Maruti Udyog Limited as a Department Manager VD6 in August 1983. He later joined Mahindra & Mahindra as Senior Vice President in February 2000 after 16 years stint in Maruti.

The company manufactures engines for fitments into Swaraj tractors being manufactured by Mahindra & Mahindra at its Swaraj Division. Swaraj Engines Limited supplies to hi-tech components to SML Isuzu, previous known as Swaraj Mazda, for assembly of commercial vehicle engines.
Swaraj Engines started commercial operations in 1989-93 and has supplied over 5,00,000 engines for fitment into "Swaraj" tractors.In the current fiscal, the company's engine sales volume for the first quarter grew by 13.7 percent with 20,910 units against 18,383 units during the same month last year.
