Spotted: SsangYong Tivoli On Indian Roads; Launch Imminent
oi-Abijith Vilangil
SsangYong Motor has been testing the Tivoli for a while now. The car has been spotted being tested on public roads before, and now, the new set spy of images reveal more details about the car.
First showcased at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo, the Tivoli has been one of the most anticipated cars for the enthusiasts. Despite the heavy camouflage, the body panels look quite similar to the model showcased at the Expo.
The Tivoli will be sold with a choice of 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engine options. To send the power to the wheels, Ssangyong will provide either a 6-speed Automatic gearbox or a 6-speed manual gearbox. The engine is likely to be locally manufactured at Mahindra's facility.
Once launched, the Tivoli will compete with likes of Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster, and the Nissan Terrano.
