Skoda Rapid Monte Carlo Edition To Be Launched In India Soon
Skoda Auto had recently announced the launch of four new products in India by the end of 2017, and the Monte Carlo edition Skoda Rapid is one among them.
In the European markets, the Monte Carlo edition package is available for the Fabia, Rapid, and Yeti. The package is offered as a homage to Skoda's racing heritage and they come with some visual updates.
The most significant change on the Monte Carlo edition cars will be the special red colour body that is accompanied by stylish black accents on the front grill, alloy wheels, body accents, ORVMs, and the tail lamp cluster.
In the interior, the Monte Carlo edition Rapid's cabin will get sporty bucket seats with black, grey, and red upholstery. To enhance the appeal of the car, Skoda has decided to add stainless steel pedals and carbon fibre dashboard trim.
Other highlights will be a multi-functional flat bottom steering wheel wrapped in perforated leather with red stitches, and a sporty instrument cluster, unique to the Monte Carlo edition.
Powering the facelifted Rapid and the Monte Carlo Edition will be the 1.5-litre turbo diesel and 1.6-litre petrol engine that it shares with VW. The diesel and the petrol engine make an identical power output of 104bhp, while they produce 250Nm and 153Nm of torque respectively.
The Monte Carlo Edition Rapid will get the seven-speed DSG gearbox and a five-speed manual gearbox as well.
