Skoda To Bring Its Powerful New Octavia vRS To India — What To Expect!
Auto enthusiasts in India have been waiting for Skoda to launch the Octavia vRS. A reliable source suggest that the Czech automobile manufacturer might soon introduce the Octavia vRS to its line-up in the country.
The Octavia vRS will be Skoda's high-performance version of the premium sedan in the offering, and the car will be sold in India with an engine that can produce an excess of 210bhp.
In the international markets, the Octavia vRS is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that can produce 210bhp and a peak torque of 350Nm.
Gearbox offered includes a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed DSG auto gearbox. The car will be capable of sprinting from 0-100km/h in 6.8 seconds.
On the outside, the vRS gets a significant amount of changes from the standard Octavia. The car will sport a front bumper with a wider air duct, "vRS" badge on the front grille and sides, larger bespoke wheels, and a rear spoiler that doesn't have much to do with the downforce.
What makes the interior of the Octavia vRS special, will be the bucket seats, all-black colour scheme, and the "vRS" badges placed on the headrests, steering wheel, gear knob, and door sills.
Skoda introduced the older-generation Octavia vRS in India in 2004 as a limited edition offering; the car was soon a favourite among the car tuning community due to the tuning/ performance potential of the car.
What's your take? Will the new Skoda Octavia vRS create waves in India?
