Skoda is gearing up for a slew of launches in 2017 and has lined up four models for the Indian market. One of the models will be the Octavia Black Limited Edition which will hit the Indian shores in 2017.
Compared to the standard version of the Skoda Octavia, the Black Edition will see tweaks in the exterior outlook of the car. Skoda will give the Octavia Black Edition re-styled bumpers, blacked out headlamps, dark themed interiors, and probably new touchscreen infotainment system.
However, the talking point of the Skoda Octavia Black Edition is the Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) seen in most of the Skoda cars. The DCC will give the driver a lot more control of the car with the tweaking of the steering and suspension depending on the driving mode, the driver has selected.
The driving modes come in Eco, Comfort, Normal, Sport, and Individual, so based on the mode selected the DCC will accordingly adjust the steering and suspension for the best control of the car.
With the push of a button, the electronic value will control the flow of oil to the suspension adapting to the driving mode and the steering becomes more responsive, brakes are sharper and body roll is lesser.
Apart from the Black Edition Octavia, Skoda will bring the 7-seater Kodiaq, RS variant of the Octavia, and the Rapid Monte Carlo Edition. Skoda is also investing Rs. 100 crore in the after sales service domain.
