Skoda Releases Kodiaq SUV Teaser Images Ahead Of Launch

The Skoda Kodiaq is set to be unveiled to the world on September 1, 2016 in the German capital of Berlin. The Kodiaq will be Skoda's first seven-seat SUV and is expected to enter India in 2017.

However, Skoda has released a few tantalizing images of the upcoming SUV just to ensure our eyes remain glued to it till it finally makes its bow in Berlin.

The images reveal a few crucial elements of the Kodiaq's design including a part of the grille and a headlamp with integrated daytime running LEDs. Also revealed is the extremely angular tail lamp design which does remind us of the Vision S concept seen at the Geneva Motor Show in March.

Skoda also released images of the ORVM with the integrated turn indicators as well as the new 10-spoke alloy wheels.

The Kodiaq will be powered by two petrol engines and a single diesel engine in various international markets but in India, the Kodiaq is only expected to come with the Volkswagen group's trustworthy 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine. The engine produces 187bhp and 400Nm of torque and will be paired with a 6-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

The Kodiaq is expected to be priced between Rs. 25 to 30 lakh (ex-showroom), when it enters India.
