Skoda Introduces Built-In Umbrella As Option For 3 More Cars
Skoda Auto is celebrating 15 years since they introduced a standard umbrella incorporated into the door of the Superb, so the carmaker is now extending the feature to almost all of the models in the range.
However, there is a small twist to the story. The umbrella will not have a dedicated compartment in the door, but a column beneath the seat.
The built-in umbrella from Skoda is not offered as a standard option for either of the three models that will be able to get it.
In the Octavia, the umbrella is only offered as an option for the models with top trims. There is no built-in umbrella option announced for the Yeti or Rapid.
Skoda's built-in umbrella is not just any umbrella that has been placed in a box , it is made of anti-bacterial fabric, and it sits in a ventilated tray with a water-repellent lining.
However, only the customers of Citigo and Fabia ranges in the United Kingdom will get the umbrella as standard. For the Customers getting an Octavia, the umbrella can be ordered for 25 pounds (approximately Rs. 2100).
