Saleen will be producing seven Saleen S7's, named as Saleen S7 LM Edition. The cars celebrate the 20th anniversary of seven year long journey in various motorsports competition from 1996 to 2002. Saleen has won many championships including the classic American and European LeMans series.
The Saleen S7 LM will be powered by 7-litre, V8, twin-turbocharged engine which pumps out an outstanding output of 1000bhp. Saleen stated that there will be performance updates to the car, but has not revealed any technical details.
The cars will be produced at Saleen's headquarters in Corona, California. Saleen tried to launch the successor of S7, but the car only made it to concept version due to financial crisis. But now, Saleen is back at it with the iconic S7 being born from the dead.
