Many of media reports suggest that Datsun India is planning to launch the GO Cross by the end of 2017. The GO Cross was unveiled at the Delhi Auto Expo 2016 in Delhi as a concept and it had raised the curiosity levels of many.
The response has made Datsun to speed up the work on the GO Cross project so that it can be seen as a production model by next year.
Datsun GO Cross concept revealed the design with distinctive front fascia, which featured a hexagonal grille, swept back LED headlights, a solid and beefy skid plates, and a black plastic cladding.
On the inside, the Datsun GO Cross concept features a five-seater layout and Datsun reportedly might get the GO Cross a new dashboard. A seven-seater layout is not confirmed as of now, however, Datsun might look into that aspect as well depending on the market preference.
If launched, the Datsun GO Cross will rival the Hyundai Active i20, Toyota Etios Cross, and Fiat Avventura. Powering the Datsun GO Cross will be the 1.2-litre and a 1.5-litre TDCi diesel engine which is seen in the Nissan Micra hatchback.
