Austrian GP Practice Session Dominated By Mercedes!
Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton continue their dominance at the 2016 Austrian GP. Mercedes-AMG has a clear advantage over its rivals at least during the practice session. The fight is currently between both partners and we are surely going to experience an interesting qualifying.
Scuderia Ferrari has shown progress, however, it is still not going to match Mercedes power. Vettel has been handed a five-place grid penalty for a gearbox change. Kimi Raikkonen on the other is not consistent with his pace to challenge the top runners.
Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo are performing well in their Red Bull Racing machine. The duo is not likely to trouble either Mercedes-AMG driver. Red Bull Racing is in contention to compete with Ferrari for the podium at the Austrian GP, which is their home race.
Expect Force India also to be in the mix as the team and drivers are in excellent form. Nico Hulkenberg and Sergio Perez have both displayed excellent pace around the Austrian circuit. The Mercedes power unit in the Force India is working better than that in the Williams.
One more practice session is scheduled for Saturday prior to Qualifying at the Austrian GP. Qualifying session will begin at 17:30 IST and it is unlikely that anybody other than Mercedes would take pole position at the 2016 Austrian GP.
