Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton have dragged the 2016 Formula One Championship to the penultimate race. The final race and Championship decider will be held in Abu Dhabi at the Yas Marina circuit. Only twelve points separate Hamilton and Rosberg going into the final round.
So far, Hamilton and Rosberg are reducing the element of surprise. Both drivers have opted for similar tyre allocation for the 2016 Abu Dhabi GP. Pirelli officials confirm the Mercedes AMG Petronas duo has opted for seven ultra soft, four soft, and two super soft tyres.
Lewis Hamilton has the most difficult task, as he has to finish in first place to keep his chances alive. Nico Rosberg, on the other hand, can afford to finish on the final step of the podium. The odds are stacked up against Hamilton to win his fourth Formula One Championship.
Nico Rosberg has to decide whether to go all out and seal the Championship with a win or settle for third place finish. This would be Rosberg's very first Formula One Championship. The German commenced his Formula One career back in 2006 and has always impressed the paddock.
Formula One has usually provided interesting results in the final race. This is racing and anything is possible, Rosberg could face a mechanical error, which could force him to start from the rear. Red Bull Racing and Scuderia Ferrari could also play an important role in deciding 2016 Formula One Champion.
