Red Bull Manage To Beat Mercedes At 2016 Malaysian GP
Red Bull has broken Mercedes winning streak once again with an impressive one-two. Daniel Ricciardo drove brilliantly to win 2016 Malaysian GP. Teammate Max Verstappen was not far behind and constantly piled the pressure on Ricciardo.
The 2016 Malaysian GP did not provide either Mercedes driver with good memories. Lewis Hamilton lead for most of the Malaysian GP until his Mercedes broke down during the closing stages. Hamilton's engine blowout has put him at a great disadvantage in the Championship battle.
Nico Rosberg experienced turmoil in the very beginning itself. An over-optimistic Sebastian Vettel tried to overtake Rosberg and ended up spinning him the other way round. Sebastian Vettel was forced to retire with damage, while Rosberg was capable of rejoining post repairs.
Rosberg with his Mercedes fought back and made his way to fourth place prior to Hamilton's engine blowing out. Nico now leads the 2016 Formula One championship by 23 points from Lewis. Only five races remain and it seems like the Championship is now getting interesting.
Kimi Raikkonen finished the race in fourth place for Scuderia Ferrari. McLaren-Honda witnessed another double point finish. Fernando Alonso started from last and made his way up to seventh place. Teammate Jenson Button finished 2016 Malaysian GP in ninth place.
