Renault-Nissan To Use Microsoft Azure For Their Connected Driving Experience

Renault-Nissan Alliance has teamed up with Microsoft for connected driving technologies. The global companies have entered into a multiyear agreement. The next generation technologies towards connected driving will be developed by the trio.

The automobile companies will be developing next-gen connected services for vehicles that will be powered by Microsoft Azure. The Renault-Nissan Alliance will try and improve customer experience through advanced navigation, vehicle-centric services, and predictive maintenance.

Vehicle owners will also be capable of monitoring their cars remotely. External mobile experience will also be improved. Over-the-air updates will be done through Microsoft's intelligent cloud services.

Microsoft Azure supports multiple operating systems, programming languages, and tools. It is a proven and secured global cloud platform with huge potential. The Renault-Nissan Alliance will provide service worldwide to its existing customer base and future vehicle buyers.

By 2020, more than ten vehicles with autonomous driving technologies will be introduced by Renault-Nissan Alliance. Microsoft Azure will maximise and improve customer's free time within the vehicle. All of this will be offered to customers at an affordable price too.
