Renault Kwid Teased In Brazil For The First Time
The Renault Kwid is on the French carmaker's newest product for the world. The car was launched in India while ago is already registering good sales numbers. Now, Renault is all geared up to launch the Kwid In Brazil and has also released the first teaser.
The Kwid is most likely to debut at the Sao Paulo Motor Show that is scheduled to take place in November this year. The Kwid will be assembled locally and will source important parts from India.
The Renault Kwid has been reworked, or rather tweaked a bit for the South American market, as the Latin NCAP Tests are quite strict. The Kwid will feature 4 airbags, ABS, and also a reworked monocoque to make it safer.
The Kwid will receive minor updates to its exterior design as well. The hatchback will have redesigned wheel arches and bumpers. Inside, the Kwid could receive a digi analogue instrument console, unlike the digital console that is being sold for the Indian market.
As for the engine options, the Kwid will be sold with the 800cc and the 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine options in Brazil. The car will be sold with a standard 5-speed manual gearbox while AMT will be offered as an option.
