The Renault Kwid has the looks of an SUV, well, a mini SUV. It takes a lot of cues from the characteristics of the SUV and has been applied elegantly.
Various customization is available by Renault for the Kwid like Renault Kwid Air, Renault Kwid Rider and Renault Kwid Zap, the Kwid Sports that been spotted a dealership is a mix of all the accessories found in the customization kit.
We must say, the Sports version of the Renault Kwid does look good and has been done tastefully. The Kwid Sports seen here comes with decals on the side, alloy wheels, body coloured slats for the front grille, faux air intakes, a bash plate and a spoiler.
There has been customization on the interiors as well, it includes special mats, body coloured inserts on the doors, silver accents on the AC vents and on the gear lever and even leather seat covers.
As for the engine, there are no changes, Renault Kwid comes with the 800cc petrol engine which churns out 52bhp and 72Nm of peak torque. Renault had showcased the 1.0-litre AMT model in the recently held 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi.
We can expect the 1.0-litre engine early 2017 or even sooner by the end of 2016, the Kwid has been climbing the top 10 selling cars in India list and it looks good to threaten even the biggest selling Maruti Alto.
Renault has equipped the Kwid with good features like touch-screen infotainment system, has better power, mileage, higher ground clearance, and much more. All this features at a competitive pricing has put the Kwid a good contender in the entry-level hatchback segment.
