Renault Kwid Surpasses One Lakh Sales Milestone In India
The Kwid by Renault has recorded a sales milestone of one lakh units since launch. Both variants of Kwid have played an important role in achieving this sales milestone.
Renault launched the Kwid in the Indian market over a year ago. Now, the French-based manufacturer has recorded selling one lakh units of the Kwid. From January to August 2016, Renault India achieved delivering 65,000 Kwid models.
Currently, Renault India offers two main variants of the Kwid. A 0.8-litre and a 1.0-litre petrol engine are offered in Kwid by Renault. Both engine options are mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Only the 1.0-litre engine will be offered with an optional AMT gearbox.
Very soon, Renault India plans on introducing special edition Kwid models. At the 2016 Auto Expo, Renault showcased the Kwid Climber and Kwid Racer. Both models are accepted to enter production and could be seen on Indian roads in the following year.
