More Variants Of Renault Kwid To Be Launched In India
Renault India stated that it will be launching new variants of Kwid each year in the market.
French car manufacturer Renault is speculating to launch more variants of Kwid in the Indian market in order to maintain market momentum.
Renault Kwid which was launched in September 2015 has been a successful chapter for Renault in India. Building on its success Renault also launched the 1-litre variant and AMT Kwid in the Indian market.
Renault aims to launch new variants of Kwid each year. Renault India CEO and Managing Director, Sumit Sawhney said that customers need not wait for years to see a new variant of Kwid.
With the success of Kwid, Renault aims to surpass the five percent market share in India within this year. It also wants to break into the top three manufacturers in sales volume in India by 2023.
Renault believes that apart from having a reliable product it is also necessary to be affordable and should deliver good mileage which will suit every kind of customer in the market.
Initially, Renault launched the Kwid with a 800cc engine and after 11 months it introduced the 1-litre variant to the market. Recently the AMT variant of the Kwid also entered the Indian market.
Sawhney said, to increase the sales volume the company needs to offer more to the customers and the sales network in the country plays a major role. Currently, Renault has around 250 dealerships in India and it aims to expand it to 270 by this year end.
