Renault Kaptur To Be Offered With Customisation — Get Your Unique Identity
The Renault Kaptur is expected to be launched in India in 2017 is already on sale in Russia with a variety of customisation options. The crossover is based on the platform of Renault Duster and has the character of a crossover SUV.
As for the customisations, on the external look, the Kaptur is offered with multiple colours along with contrasting colour option for the roof. You can even customise it with decals based on the exterior colour option you have chosen.
There is even a dual tone 17-inch alloy wheels with base body colour ORVMs, front grille highlighting, side mouldings, and tailgate mounted ornament.
Renault is working to highly localise the platform of the Duster, which the Kaptur will be built on. The localisation will help cut costs and keep Kaptur prices competitive.
Renault has powered the Kaptur with the choice of petrol and diesel mill. The 1.6-litre petrol engine produces 102bhp and 145Nm of torque, while the diesel unit churns out 105bhp and 248Nm of torque.
Both these engines will be mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and the possibility of its 'Easy-R' AMT gearbox might be offered as well.
Once launched, the Renault Kaptur will go head on with Mahindra XUV500 and Honda BR-V. It is expected Renault will price the Kaptur in the range of Rs. 12 - 15 lakh. The launch is expected during the festive period of 2017, probably October 2017.
