Renault F1 Team Confirms Nico Hulkenberg For Next Season
Renault F1 Team has now confirmed that Nico Hulkenberg has accepted their contract. Hulkenberg will be ending his partnership with Force India at the end of 2016 Formula One Championship. So far, Renault has only confirmed one driver for the next season.
Nico Hulkenberg brings with him a vast experience to Renault F1 Team. Till date, Hulkenberg has participated in 111 F1 GPs and has spent five years with Force India. Previously, Nico Hulkenberg has raced for Williams and Sauber in Formula One.
It is the very first time, Hulkenberg will be part of a factory outfit in Formula One since he joined. Renault F1 Team has experienced a terrible season during 2016. They are currently focussed on their 2017 project and are confident that Hulkenberg will take them in the right direction.
Kevin Magnussen and Jolyon Palmer are still in contention for the remaining seat at Renault. Esteban Ocon is rumored to be in talks with Renault, as the team would prefer a French driver behind the wheel.
Force India have also only confirmed Sergio Perez for the following Formula One season. Pascal Wehrlein is the likely candidate to secure the Force India seat. Stay tuned for more updates as to which driver ends up in which team for the 2017 F1 Championship.
