Renault will be unveiling the refreshed Duster at the 2016 Auto Expo. The updated Renault Duster headed to India will get updated headlamps, bumper and grille. It might carry forward the design language used in the Duster facelift unveiled in Brazil earlier this year.
The manufacturer will introduce the Easy-R AMT gearbox, which will help to reduce the production cost compared to an automatic gearbox. The Upcoming Duster will be the first Renault-badged product to come with an automated manual gearbox. Renault's sister brand Dacia unveiled its new AMT gearbox last year at the Frankfurt motor show.
Sources suggest that the AMT will be available only in the 109bhp 1.5-litre diesel variant and it will mated to the existing six-speed manual gearbox.
The facelifted Duster is expected to be unveiled at the Auto Expo in Delhi. The market launch is expected to be in March or April.
