18th Raid De Himalaya Will Kick-Off From 8th October 2016

has
been
an
avid
motorsport
supporter
in
the
country.
It
has
organised
many
motorsports
events
across
India
for
many
years
and
provided
some
breathtaking
action.
The Raid De Himalaya is one among them. This rally is organised to promote motorsport in the Northern part of India of Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttarakhand.
The 18th edition of the Raid De Himalaya will be kick started from 8th October 2016 from Manali. This is the toughest event to cope with in the country.
The event runs in compliance with the International Sporting Code of the Federation Internationale Automobile (FIA), National Competition Rules (NCR) & General Prescriptions of the FMSCI.
Maruti Suzuki states that as the countdown begins for the event the stakes are even high this time as the rally is organised on the new roads this year.
The event becomes more challenging with extreme conditions. The rallyists should cope the cold and highest of the altitudes to finish the rally.
The first stop of the rally will be the capital of Spiti - Gaza, which is at an altitude of 12,500 feet. Next rest stop will be Sarchu on Leh-Manali highway.
Then the competitors will make it back to Manali through scenic Leh. Over the course of one week, the crews will be covering approximately 2,000 km.
Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza will be making its debut in this extreme rally in the Himalayas. This rally will be a tough test of mental endurance and physical fitness with participants going through some extreme terrains.
