Mahindra Gifts Toughest SUV To Olympic Heroes — A Promise Fulfilled

Indian carmaker Mahindra has fulfilled its promise to the nation and gifted 2016 Rio Olympic medallists P.V. Sindhu and Sakshi Malik with brand new customized Mahindra Thar SUVs.

The two customized SUVs were presented to Sindhu and Malik by the Executive Director of Mahindra & Mahindra, Pawan Goenka.

P.V. Sindhu is the first female sportsperson from India to win an Olympic Silver medal. Sakshi Malik is also a record breaker as she is the first female wrestler from India to bag an Olympic medal.

The colours of two customized Thars gifted to the two medalists reflect the medals won by them.

P.V. Sindhu's Thar is painted Silver to match her Silver medal from the Rio Olympic Games.

To give Sindhu's Thar an extra bit of flair, Mahindra has added two white stripes on the bonnet of the SUV. The big 5-slat grille up front features the same white paint scheme as well.

Sakshi Malik's Thar gets a red paint job, with bronze coloured stripes and front fascia, which really makes her Thar stand out from the rest of the crowd.

Both the customised Thars do sport a few custom features other than the different paint jobs. Both SUVs feature bull bars, new bumpers, and snorkels along with what seems to be larger tyres.
