Porsche's tractor from 1959 is going to be auctioned in October at 'The Porsche Sale 2016', in Northamptonshire. The company began constructing prototypes of the farm aimed vehicle prior to the World War 2.
The first batches of the factory were powered by petrol engines. Later they turned to using diesel powered engines and used two-, three- and four- cylinder air-cooled engines. Those engines were capable of producing 14-55bhp.
The tractor which is up for sale is a 308 Super which was built in 1959. In 2014, it was discovered at a farm near Dublin, Ireland. The tractor was in a bad shape and was taken to a vintage tractor expert. He returned the tractor to its former glory and it received a red and cream finish. The 2.5-litre 3-cylinder,four-stroke, air-cooled diesel engine was also properly restored.
It is a good opportunity for Porsche collectors who want everything the company makes.
