Porsche To Not Build Smaller Than Macan Models Worldwide
No model smaller than Macan coming from Porsche stables anytime soon. Porsche officials confirm that their sole goal is to deliver quality and not quantity.
Porsche launched its Macan compact SUV in India in its humblest avatar. Now, the German manufacturer has confirmed that it would not be building any model smaller than the Macan. Previously, Porsche was rumoured to launch an all-new model smaller than the Macan.
Currently, there is a void between the Porsche Boxster and Macan. It is now confirmed that there will be no model bridging this gap. Porsche officials do not want to produce an affordable model, they want to maintain their exclusivity and luxurious stature.
Officials from Porsche admit that their goal is quality products and not quantity. Their future plan is to improve the quality and features in Porsche models. In the immediate future, we can see significant updates to their existing range of products.
By 2020, Porsche plans to offer their very first fully electric vehicle. This model by Porsche will be called Mission R. Concept version of Porsche Mission E has been showcased on multiple occasions and we can expect the design language similar to the prototype.
