Two Women To Take A Porsche Cayenne For A Himalayan Expedition
Porsche India has announced its partnership with Women Beyond Boundaries. The participants will be embarking on a 20-day expedition across the Himalayas. Cayenne SUV by Porsche will be used by the women on this ambitious journey.
Nidhi Tiwari, Founder of Women Beyond Boundaries, plans on showcasing women empowerment via mobility. She will embark on this journey with Neha V Sadananda, who will be the navigator. The Cayenne SUV will have to endure 4,000 kms of treacherous terrain.
The duo will commence their journey from June 18, 2016, from Porsche Centre in Gurgaon. Both of them will be halting at several locations to explain to women how to organise an extreme overland journey. They will also spread women's health awareness along with local NGOs.
Cayenne by Porsche is powered by a 3.0-litre, V6, turbo-diesel engine. The engine produces 245bhp, along with 550Nm of peak torque and can attain a top speed of 221 km/h. Porsche has mated the engine to an 8-speed Tiptronic S gearbox, which provides power to all four wheels.
