2017 Porsche 911 RSR Teased Ahead Of LA Auto Show Debut
Along with the new Panamera's, Porsche will be unveiling the new 911 RSR to the public for the first time.
While the whole world is waiting for Porsche to unveil the extended-wheelbase Panamera for the LA Auto Show, the German carmaker is bringing more than just a sedan to the showdown.
Along with the new Panamera's, Porsche will be unveiling the new 911 RSR to the public for the first time. Similar to the GT3 Cup showcased in Paris, the RSR will be the race-spec version of the iconic 911.
Porsche built the GT3 Cup spec 911 to compete in various racing series while the RSR is made to go against the likes of Corvette C7.R and BMW M6 GTLM in the GTE racing series that started five years ago.
Porsche is yet to reveal any details regarding the improvements over the on-going RSR other than this teaser sketch. But we can assure you that the guys at Porsche have done their utmost to deliver maximum performance.
Once revealed at the LA Auto Show, we expect the new RSR to hit the tracks during the FIA World Endurance Championship and then at the European Le Mans Series, and Asian Le Mans Series.
