Porsche To Launch All-New 911 Carrera In India On June 29
Porsche will be introducing its 2016-edition of the 911 Carrera supercar in India. The 911 Carrera by Porsche will be available pan India from June 29, 2016. It is currently unclear whether or not Porsche will introduce the entire 2016 range of 911 Carrera in India.
The 911 Carrera receives an all-new 3.0-litre turbocharged, inline six-cylinder engine from Porsche. Engineers have tuned this engine to produce 370bhp, along with 450Nm of peak torque output. Power will be delivered to rear wheels through a 7-speed PDK automatic gearbox.
In terms of design, the Porsche 911 Carrera gets unique four point DRLs, along with the signature round headlights. Air intake size up front has been increased, which provides an aggressive persona. New tail lights, bumper, sporty quad exhaust ports, and vertical slats for the engine cover.
The 911 Carrera will be imported to India by Porsche as a Completely Built Unit (CBU). We expect the 2016 Porsche 911 Carrera to be priced in excess of Rs. 1.5 crore ex-showroom. Pricing for the supercar will be officially announced on June 29, 2016.
