Polaris India Set To Participate In The Royal Rajasthan Rally - 2016
Polaris India is once again all set to participate in the Royal Rajasthan Rally 2016 in Rajasthan, one of the most demanding off-road rallies in the world. For the second year in a row, Polaris India will also be the title sponsor of the event.
The Royal Rajasthan Rally will be divided into two categories, namely Adventure and Extreme. Adventure rally will span over 4 days running through approximately 1000km. In the Extreme category, the challenge has been upped. The vehicle and driver's abilities will be tested to the utmost through 1000km of harsh travelling.
This year, for both the categories, there's an additional 250 km that have been added as compared to last year's rally distance of 750km. For the first time, there will be three women participants - Ashima Kaushik, Khyati Mody, and Smitha Prasad takes part in the gruesome rally.
Polaris will be competing with 2 of their models, namely RZR S 800, which sports a 760cc twin-cylinder engine churning out 52bhp and a much more powerful RZR XP 900, which is powered by an 875cc, 4-Stroke Dual Over Head Cams (DOHC).
