Polaris RZR Vehicles Dominate Baja 1000
The Baja 1000 off road race was dominated by Polaris RZR vehicles with the top five positions in the overall ranking.
This year Baja 1000 saw a total of 38 UTV entries out of which 27 were the Polaris RZR vehicles. It took top five overall positions and 11 UTV's to finish the race were Polaris RZR.
Polaris factory team drivers had great success in this years Baja 1000. In the Pro UTV Induction Class, Branden Sims took the class victory and finished second overall.
The second position went to Wayne Matlock despite having lost a wheel of his Terrabit Racing Polaris RZR XP 4 Turbo EPS.
Rhys Millen took the overall victory in his Polaris RZR XP 1000 EPS and proved that it's the top performing race UTV. The naturally aspirated RZR UTV was faster than the 16 competitors in the PRO UTV class.
The first woman racer of Baja 1000 Kristin Matlock took an impressive second place in Baja 1000 solo class and finished fifth overall in the RZR XP 1000 EPS.
Polaris Race Team Manager, Dan Carr said, "Polaris RZR had an incredible 2016 Baja 1000 and overall season. "Congratulations to all the teams on their successes and we look forward to a successful 2017 season."
