By Dennis
Prices of petrol and diesel across the nation have been hiked by Rs. 3.07/litre and Rs. 1.90/litre respectively. The new prices come into effect at midnight March 17, 2016.
With the price hike, petrol will now retail at Rs. 59.68/litre in Delhi, up from 56.61/litre set on March 1. Diesel will be sold at Rs. 48.33/litre up from Rs. 46.43/litre.
The price hike is due to the increase in crude prices ahead of a key meeting of oil producing nations next month that will discuss a proposal to freeze the output of oil in a bid to bring prices back up.
The next price changes for petrol and diesel will be announced on April 1.
