Petrol Price Hiked Rs. 2.19/litre, Diesel Up 98 Paise

Petrol and diesel prices have been hiked for the second fornight in a row with petrol prices being hiked Rs. 2.19/litre and diesel prices are up by 98 paise.
With this latest hike in prices, Petrol will now sell for Rs 61.87/litre in the captial city of New Delhi as against Rs. 59.68/litre.
Diesel will now cost the citizens of the capital Rs. 49.31/litre compared to the previous price of Rs. 48.33/litre.
The Indian Oil Corporation released a statement about the latest hike in prices stating, "The current level of international product prices of petrol and diesel and the rupee-US dollar exchange rate warrant increase in price of petrol and diesel, the impact of which is being passed on to consumers with this price revision."
