Ola Teams Up With Local Authorities; Campaign Against Drunken Driving
India's largest transportation platform, Ola is teaming up with Hauz Khas Village Traders Association part of its continued campaign against drunken driving. The company is encouraging patrons and visitors of leading pubs and bars in Hauz Khas Village to take a safe and specially discounted Ola Cab ride after partying with your friends.
The initiative by Ola where the company has installed digital breathalysers in the area to determine if their alcohol in the blood is beyond permissible limit. The campaign started on September 16, 2016, will continue for three weeks.
Hauz Khas Village, located in South Delhi is one of the popular and key areas and attracts lot of visitors on a daily basis. This makes is important to maintain the traffic and on-road discipline in and around the area. With this campaign, Ola wants to bring a safe and seamless on-road experience to the visitors and commuters of South Delhi.
The cab aggregator has been campaigning for safer rides and roads in the region, it has associated with Delhi Police and many leading pubs in North Delhi for a similar activity early this year. During last year's New Year's eve, the company deployed more than 500 cabs to ferry nearly 10,000 people to their homes from popular hot-spots around Delhi-NCR.
