India-Bound Nissan X-Trail Hybrid Specifications Revealed
Nissan has revealed the specifications of its upcoming X-Trail Hybrid SUV in India.
For the Indian automobile market, 2017 is going to be a year which promises a lot of new products from different manufacturers. Ranging from new models to new-gen facelift the Indian product portfolio will be flooded with new launches.
Nissan is also readying itself to introduce its new products in the country. It is the Nissan X-Trail Hybrid which seems to be an ideal vehicle for the Indian Indian road conditions.
The X-Trail Hybrid will cater the new SUV trend in the Indian market and the hybrid powertrain of the vehicle will keep the harmful air pollutants in check.
Nissan has revealed the specification of the India-bound X-Trail Hybrid SUV. The hybrid SUV will be powered by a 2-litre petrol engine churning out 142bhp and 200Nm of torque.
The petrol engine will be coupled to an electric motor which draws power from a pack of lithium-ion batteries to produce an output of 40bhp and 160Nm of torque. The transmission duties are handled by a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) and a torque converter will be employed to minimise the loss of energy while shifting gears.
The interior of the X-Trail Hybrid will be packed with features such as Bluetooth enabled infotainment system and leather upholstery. Safety features on the SUV include six airbags, ABS with EBD and the Nissan Around View Monitor to give bird's eye view for the driver to move the vehicle in tight spaces.
Apart from that the hybrid SUV will also come with safety features such as Active Engine Braking, Active Trace Control, Hill Start Assist, Active Ride Control, Active Brake Limited Slip and Vehicle Dynamic Control.
The X-Trail Hybrid will be launched in India as a Completely Built Unit and as a result, the price tag is expected to be around Rs 30 lakh. When launched the hybrid SUV will be a rival to the likes of Honda CR-V, Skoda Yeti and Hyundai Tucson.
