Nissan Trophy Tour Halts In Chennai Ahead Of ICC Twenty20 Series
Nissan is the official title sponsor for the 2016 ICC World Twenty20 Championship. The Japanese-based automobile manufacturer has embarked on a trophy tour. The ICC World Twenty20 trophy will be showcased to several enthusiasts along its journey.
Currently, Nissan Trophy Tour has taken a halt in Chennai. It is the sixth stop before the World Twenty20 series commences on March 8, 2016. This is the very first time that India will be hosting the ICC World Twenty20.
Present at the flag off in Chennai for the Trophy Tour was Dinesh Karthik and Mithali Raj. Only two more cities will get to see the trophy up close. The ICC World Twenty20 Trophy is being taken and showcased at all eight venues that the matches will be held to create excitement.
2016 ICC World Twenty20 will have twelve teams participating. They are Scotland, Ireland, Netherland, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, England, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, and India. It will be interesting to see if host country could win the title once again.
Nissan India was present at the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi and showcased several exciting products. The Japanese-based manufacturer showcased two special edition models to celebrate the ICC World Twenty20 Series. Also making their debut were the Nissan GT-R and X-Trail hybrid.
