Nissan India has launched its Terrano compact SUV with AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) option. Terrano AMT is priced attractively at Rs. 13.75 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi). AMT option by Nissan in Terrano is being offered in a single variant at this moment.
Powering Nissan Terrano AMT is a 1.5-litre, Common Rail Direct Injection diesel engine. This engine produces 108.62bhp, along with 245Nm of peak torque output. Nissan has opted for a 6-speed AMT, which carries out gear changes via a computer, thus eliminating the clutch.
Sandstone Brown is the new colour specially introduced for Nissan Terrano AMT. Previously available colour options will also be equipped with AMT option. The rear-end gets new AMT badging symbolising its difference from regular Nissan Terrano models on Indian roads.
Designers have tweaked the interiors of Nissan Terrano AMT as well. New Beige leather seat upholstery has been included. Interior adopts an all-new dual tone Black and Beige combination. This provides Nissan Terrano AMT with a premium and upmarket feel.
In comparison to Renault Duster AMT, the Nissan Terrano AMT is more expensive by Rs. 78,000. Duster AMT was launched in India approximately seven months prior to Terrano AMT. We will be keen to see how the Nissan Terrano AMT fares in the Indian market.
