Nissan is expected to reveal the production spec model of the Sentra NISMO at the Los Angeles Auto Show 2016.
The Japanese car manufacturer has confirmed that a new NISMO model will be showcased at the LA Auto Show 2016. And there is a possibility of it being a performance oriented car.
The Sentra NISMO concept was previewed some three years ago and recently the prototype models were spied testing.
By considering the testing done on the public roads it is imminent that the launch of the Nissan Sentra NISMO is on the cards.
Earlier this year according to the sources within the company stated that the Sentra NISMO was yet to be approved for the production but hinted that it may be produced upon customer demand.
If the Sentra NISMO will be ever produced it will be powered by the same powertrain as the concept version.
That means the production-spec Sentra NISMO will feature 1.8-litre turbocharged engine which produces 240bhp 325Nm of torque.
The engine will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission and the power will be sent to the front wheels through a limited-slip differential.
As far as the styling is concerned, the aggressively designed bumpers from the concept model can make way into the production variant too with fewer changes.
