Nissan-Renault Alliance Forms Internal Start-Up Division
Renault-Nissan Alliance announced an agreement with Microsoft for the development of the connected driving technologies.
According
to
reports,
Renault-Nissan
have
formed
an
in-house
startup
division.
This
new
division
will
be
focusing
on
the
next-generation
of
mobility
and
it
is
being
led
by
Renault-Nissan
Alliance
senior
vice
president
Ogi
Redzic.
Ogi previously worked at the HERE mapping service once owned by Nokia. This startup already has 300 employees and they will be playing an important role in the development of advanced technologies and mobility services. We can expect these technologies in future models from Renault and Nissan.
When asked about the internal start-up, Carlos Ghosn, Alliance chief executive said, "I expect the global auto industry to see more changes in the next five years than it has in the last 20. Those changes will bring tremendous opportunities for those with the skills and talents to help the Alliance."
Further details about this division will be revealed within one month after the Renault-Nissan Alliance announced an agreement with Microsoft for the development of the connected driving technologies.
