Nissan To Focus On Premium Products For Indian Market
Nissan India plans to introduce more premium models which will cater to a niche market. Datsun brand in India will cater to affordable and reasonably priced models in the country.
Nissan has an array of products in the Indian market, which caters to a premium audience. The Japanese-based manufacturer is now confident on focussing only on the premium segment in India. Very soon, we could see an onslaught of premium product launches by Nissan India.
The Nissan GT-R supercar will be launched in India soon. It will soon be followed by the launch of Nissan X-Trail. Both these products are extremely popular in the international market. This is the very first time Nissan India will be launching such premium offerings in the country.
Datsun brand was reintroduced in several markets so that affordable vehicles could be offered. Nissan has started selling more reasonable priced vehicles under the Datsun tag. This has provided the Japanese manufacturer with a sharp increase in sales across the globe.
Currently, Nissan offers the Micra Active, Micra, Sunny, and Terrano models in India. The Datsun brand offers redi-GO, GO, and Go+ models in the country. Nissan and Datsun's international portfolio has a wider range of products on offer to customers.
