Next Porsche Hybrid Will Be The 911
German sports car manufacturer Porsche have confirmed that the 911 sports car will be the next car in their range that will be going down the hybrid route.
Porsche has already introduced plug-in hybrid variants of the Panamera and the Cayenne SUV. The 918 Spyder hypercar was also a plug-in hybrid. However, Porsche decided not to push ahead with a hybrid version of the current generation of the 911 (991) as it was apparently 'unsuitable'.
In an interview posted up on Twitter, senior Porsche management members stated that the next model in the Porsche range to get a hybrid drivetrain will be the 911 which leads us to believe that it will be the next generation of the 911 which is expected to be unveiled in 2017.

After the hybrid 911 hits the roads, the next car in Porsche's electric gameplan will be the Mission E which is expected to arrive in 2020.
