2016 Toyota Fortuner Premium SUV Coming To India By November
Toyota Kirloskar Motors plans on rejuvenating its Indian four-wheeler portfolio. Now, the Japanese-based automobile manufacturer plans on introducing an all-new Fortuner premium SUV in India. The 2016-edition of Toyota Fortuner is expected to launch sometime during November.
So far, the all-new Toyota Fortuner has been caught on several occasions testing on Indian roads. Initially, Toyota India delayed the launch plans of the new Fortuner owing to the ban on the sale of diesel vehicles in Delhi-NCR region. This would affect sales as North India is Toyota's biggest market.
Under the hood of the all-new Toyota Fortuner will be a petrol and diesel engine option. Customers will have the option between a 2.4-litre and a 2.8-litre diesel engine. While the petrol engine will be available with a 2.7-litre four-cylinder option in the 2016 Toyota Fortuner.
In terms of design, the 2016 Toyota Fortuner will look sportier than the previous-gen model. Headlamps and tail lights have been redesigned, along with the front and rear body bumpers. Several new and interesting safety features will also be added to Toyota's premium SUV offering.
Currently, all-new Toyota Fortuner is on sale in Australia, South Africa, and Thailand. Indian market is likely to witness 2016 Toyota Fortuner during the upcoming festive season. Stay tuned for more news and updates from Toyota Kirloskar Motors.
