Tata Motors Planning To Launch All-New Nano, Spied Testing

An all-new Tata Nano has been spied testing under heavy camouflage. The model seen here is also known as the 'Pelican', which is a codename used by factory insiders. The new Nano from Tata Motors will be a more premium and upmarket offering this time around over previous models.

From the images, it is evident that the all-new Nano will adorn a redesigned headlight cluster. Tata designers will also revamp the entire bodywork. Special attention will be paid to the front and rear bumpers. Expect several more design changes to be carried out prior to introduction.

Reports also suggest that powering this new Nano will be a bigger engine option. Tata Motors will continue to offer the current engine as well. Both engines will be mated to a manual as well as automatic transmission option.

The spied Nano also adorned 13-inch wheels, fuel filler cap has been moved to the rear fender. Tiago's dashboard will be used within the Nano for a premium and upmarket experience. Speedometer will be moved from centre to behind the steering wheel.

The next-gen Nano is most likely to be introduced by Tata Motors during 2017. It will replace the current-gen model with better pricing and features. Tata Motors will be carrying out all these updates to compete with the likes of the Datsun redi-GO, Renault Kwid, and Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 models.
